Alex Lockwood is the founder of Lockwood Film. He has directed and produced multiple award-winning projects that address critical social and environmental issues. His BAFTA-winning film 73 Cows, alongside other acclaimed films have earned recognition at prestigious festivals, including the Jury's Special Prize at Filmets Barcelona. As a result of the media attention his work has received, he has been invited twice to screen films in the EU Parliament before policymakers.
Alex has collaborated with renowned executive producers, including Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara and his work has been met with critical acclaim, including an Oscar nomination nod from Variety magazine.
In addition to his filmmaking, Alex is dedicated to nurturing emerging talent in the industry. He actively mentors university students, providing them with valuable insights into the craft of documentary filmmaking. He has also served as a judge for prestigious film festivals, including the IFTAs (Irish Film & Television Academy Awards) and Big Syn International Film Festival. 
Alex also serves on the Advisory Board for the Centre for Contemporary Sciences, reflecting his research and advocacy surrounding the issue of animal testing.
